Teleconferences about Nursing

The telephone has become an established venue for delivery of patient care and virtually all nurses in ambulatory settings practice some form of telehealth nursing every day. Although telehealth nursing is now recognized as a specialty, few settings have given attention to formalization of telephone triage in order to minimize risk to the organization, the nurse and most importantly, the patient. In this informative teleconference, Ms. Rutenberg will discuss several lawsuits related to telephone triage in a variety of settings. The focus of this teleconference will be on common practice errors and how to avoid mistakes that result in bad outcomes.
