Name Short Description
ACLS EP Instructor Course

The American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support EP Instructor course is essential in teaching the totally redesigned ACLS for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of hospital. Through the ACLS instructor course, instructor candidates will enhance their skills in teaching correct treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

ACLS Instructor Course

This course is designed to teach health professional educators how to serve as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor within the Therapeutic Professionals Training Center. Therapeutic Professionals uses a curriculum for instructor training provided by the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the American Heart Association. However, our instructor training program differs slightly from other courses with a stronger emphasis on training to use high-fidelity simulation equipment and interprofessional education.

ACLS Provider Course

The American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course is totally redesigned for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of hospital. Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

ACLS Skills Session

This course is designed for those individuals who have successfully completed the ACLS online written exam. The skills test is an evaluation of both CPR and ACLS skills competency. Successful demonstration of CPR, a megacode, and the online written exam certificate is required to receive an ACLS certification.

ACLS-EP

The ACLS Experienced Provider Course is for seasoned ACLS providers who wish to renew their provider status. This course provides a stimulus for clinicians and scientists to identify areas in resuscitation that deal with special circumstances.

Airway Management Course

The American Heart Association Airway Management Course is a unique program specifically designed to give students the opportunity to learn, practice and demonstrate many airway skills used in resuscitation. Healthcare providers whose occupation or volunteer activities require airway management skills, in addition to professionals in the field of resuscitation and airway management such as scientists, educators, researchers, and manufacturers of medical devices, may find the course beneficial.

American Heart Association Core Instructor Course

The objective of the American Heart Association Instructor Course is to provide the opportunity for instructors to improve their instructional skills. This course teaches adult learning principles as well as situations that may arise while teaching a course. Instructors play a critical role in training people to save lives. For students to save lives they must thoroughly learn the skills that instructors teach. The better the instructor, the better chance the more lives will be saved.

BLS for Healthcare Providers Skills Session

This course is a monitoring and testing class only. No instruction or presentation is conducted by the instructor. This course is an ideal option for healthcare providers seeking an alternative to traditional BLS classroom training for first-time or renewal certification.

BLS Healthcare Provider Course

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

BLS Instructor Course

The BLS Instructor Course teaches the methods needed to effectively instruct others in resuscitation courses. The AHA requires that Instructors be at least 16 years of age. The course will cover: Basic Life Support course organization, course content including appropriate BLS skills, instructor responsibilities and American Heart Association Guidelines.
